Various types of institutions are now offering programs for Associate Degrees and Certification in Automotive Training, making it more possible than ever to join the hard working masses of automotive employees in no time at all. For starters, there are trade schools and training programs that offer automotive training. These programs offers a balance of in the field hands on experience and classroom instruction complete with textbooks and teachers. Training programs typically award certification within six months and one year.
Then there are community colleges with Associate Degrees of Automotive Technology. These graduates are much sought due in large part to the rigorous curriculum that they face in the two years that they work toward their degree. Community and junior college graduates receive a General Education in addition to their automotive training.
The students end up taking classes like English, Quanitative Reasoning, Social Studies and Physical Science. All of which make them more capable of communicating and going the extra mile in the work place. For example, some auto repair shops will boast mechanics who work on just brakes while other auto specialists at the same establishment may specialize in heat and air conditioning.
